چکیده
Background: Chondrosarcomas are rare non-epithelial malignant tumours. Surgery is the primary treatment option for chondrosarcoma, with adjuvant therapy having a minor role. In cases of nasal chondrosarcoma, however, en bloc total removal by open approaches is often undesirable. Here we report a case of chondrosarcoma arising from the nasal septum, which was resected endoscopically. Case Report: The case was 50-year-old man with nasal stuffiness. Computed tomography revealed a large lesion arising from the nasal septum composed of a low-density area with scattered high-density areas. Grade I chondrosarcoma was diagnosed based on histopathological analysis. After tumour margins were carefully identified on CT images and in the nasal cavities, trans-nasal endoscopic piece-by-piece tumour removal was conducted. One year after the surgery, there was no sign of local recurrence or distant metastasis. Clinical Implication: Transnasal endoscopic removal could represent a safe and potentially curative treatment for this

Chondrosarcoma of posterior nasal septum.
Chondrosarcoma is a rare non-epithelial tumor comprising of 10-20% of primary bone tumor. The nasal septum is a rare site for its occurrence. We present one such case of chondrosarcoma of the nasal septum who was treated with endoscopic removal followed by post operative radiotherapy and discuss the relevant clinical presentation, diagnosis and treatment and review the literature also.

Introduction: Teratomas are neoplastic tumors derived from totipotent germ cells containing a wide assortment of tissues originating from all three germ cell layers. Teratomas can be mature or immature depending on the presence of immature tissues; typically neuroepithelial tissue. Immature teratomas can be oncologically benign or malignant, and can be divided into three grades with increasingl...
متن کاملEndoscopic resection of pleomorphic adenoma of the nasal septum.
Pleomorphic adenomas originating from the minor salivary glands are rare in the nasal cavity. Total surgical excision is the preferred treatment for pleomorphic adenomas. Lateral rhinotomy, midfacial degloving, transpalatal surgery and endoscopic surgery are among the surgical approaches. Endoscopic tumor removal produces less morbidity, reduces blood loss during surgery, decreases hospital sta...
